Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Mugen IE Lab. By using this website or buying a product you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. Our products

We sell licences to use audio plugin software. You are buying a licence, not the software itself. Use of each plugin is governed by the End User Licence Agreement, which forms part of these terms.

3. Orders and payment

• All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as merchant of record and handle applicable VAT and sales tax.
• An order is accepted when we send your licence key and download access, not when payment is authorised.
• We may refuse or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, or where a price was displayed in obvious error.

4. Delivery

Products are delivered digitally. Your licence key and download link are emailed immediately after payment clears and are also available in your account. If you have not received them within an hour, contact support.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Licence keys and activation

Each licence permits a limited number of simultaneous activations, stated on the product page. You must not share, resell, publish or attempt to circumvent licence keys or the activation system. Doing so terminates your licence without refund.

7. Updates and support

Updates within a major version are provided free of charge. We do not guarantee any particular update schedule, nor that a product will remain compatible with future versions of macOS or any DAW. Support is provided by email on a reasonable-efforts basis.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the website and download services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may withdraw or archive a product at any time. If a product you own is archived, you keep access to your existing downloads and licence.

9. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with their operation, scrape them at a rate that degrades service, or use them for anything unlawful.

10. Intellectual property

All software, artwork, text, audio and branding on this site belong to Mugen IE Lab or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. Audio you produce using our plugins is yours.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from any product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost recordings, lost projects or lost data. You are responsible for backing up your work.

12. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect. For digital content supplied immediately, you agree that supply begins at once and that you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once download or activation has begun. Our Refund Policy goes beyond the statutory minimum.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place an order.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
