End User Licence Agreement

The terms on which you may install and use Mugen IE Lab plugin software.

Read this before installing. By installing, activating or using any Mugen IE Lab plugin (the "Software") you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install the Software and request a refund under our Refund Policy.

1. Licence granted

Subject to your compliance with this agreement and payment of the applicable fee, Mugen IE Lab grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software.

2. Permitted use

  • Install and activate the Software on up to three computers that you own or exclusively control, unless the product page states a different number.
  • Use the Software for commercial and non-commercial music production.
  • Make one backup copy of the installer for archival purposes.
  • Use audio produced with the Software in any release, royalty-free and with no attribution required.

3. Restrictions

You must not:

  • Copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense or otherwise make the Software available to anyone else.
  • Share, publish or resell your licence key.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Circumvent, disable or tamper with the licensing or activation system.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or proprietary notice.
  • Use the Software to develop a competing product.
  • Redistribute the Software's presets, samples or raw content as a sample pack, preset pack or library.

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. Mugen IE Lab and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights. You own the audio you create with it.

5. Activation and licence data

The Software contacts our licensing service to validate your key. This transmits your licence key, a machine fingerprint and the Software version. It does not transmit audio, project data, presets or any personal file. See our Privacy Policy.

After successful activation the licence is cached locally and the Software functions offline.

6. Updates

Updates within the same major version are provided free of charge and are covered by this agreement. A new major version may be a separate paid product. We are under no obligation to provide updates or to maintain compatibility with future operating systems or hosts.

7. Term and termination

This licence continues until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any term. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove all copies. We may also terminate the licence if the purchase is refunded or charged back.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mugen IE Lab disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular system or host.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, Mugen IE Lab's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost recordings, lost projects, corrupted sessions or lost data, however caused.

Back up your work. Audio software runs inside your DAW and can, like any software, contribute to a crash.

10. Third-party components

The Software is built on the JUCE framework and may include other third-party components, each licensed under its own terms. Those terms are satisfied by Mugen IE Lab and impose no additional obligation on you.

11. Export

You must not use or export the Software in violation of any applicable export control law or sanctions regime.

12. Entire agreement

This agreement, together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, is the entire agreement between you and Mugen IE Lab regarding the Software. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

13. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of United Kingdom, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
